  • This is a great place for a local hike. There is a trailhead that has brochures with explanations of the native flora. Bring bug spray if going in hot summer months. The south trail is more scenic, in my opinion, than the north trail.

  • Perfect for "Forest bathing".
Go to a Forest. Walk slowly. Breathe. Open all your senses.
This is the healing way of Shinrin-yoku Forest Therapy,
the medicine of simply being in the forest.

  • A fun trail, to run it's diverse even has some slight elevation. The landscape is varied, a long bridge over a scenic swamp, winding paths two lakes to stop an take in the scene.

There are a couple of interest points as well an old graveyard, a burial mound.
I like and recommend it, the only issues are, it's secluded, my wife wouldn't go alone. It's knotty and rough in some parts you could trip if you aren't careful. Lastly it's about 3.5-4 miles so if you are a serious distance runner you may need more.
